Can't update to new version - Vueminder can't close itself

Every time I start Viewmider it offers the latest update (2021.03). It says it's going to close Viewmider in order to do that, and it seems to do that successfully. But then it gets to the "System Validation" and there's a red X by "Running applications." It says, "Pleas close the following applications in order to continue with the installation," and guess which application it lists? Viewminder.

Well, of course Viewminder is running, because it's installing itself. So that's kind of dumb.

So then the whole intallation is blocked and can't get anywhere, because of this catch 22.

What can I do?

It sounds like VueMinder isn't getting closed by the update installer for some reason. Please use Task Manager to end the process named "vueminder.exe". You should be able to continue the installation after doing that.
