Contacts Google sync not

VM and my Android phone have stopped synching with Google contacts. I realise this may be a Google issue but just wonder if any one around here has experienced the same issue and found a solution.

I don't know if this is relevant

\AppData\Local\VueSoft\VueMinder\PendingSync.bin is dated today and zero bytes

\AppData\Local\VueSoft\VueMinder\Google.Apis.Auth.OAuth2.Responses.TokenResponse-xxxx@gmail.com is dated today

If I manually force VM to contacts sync, it is very (too) quick but no error reported.

My phone tries for a while then says last synch 14th Feb

No issues with Calendars sync three ways.

Any ideas?

Hi apelec, I'm not seeing any issues syncing VueMinder with Google Contacts on my test computers. Are you using the latest version of VueMinder? If you're using an older version, it's possible updating to the latest version will fix the problem you're seeing.

If that doesn't fix it, then please try these steps:

1. Click the "Share -> Google Contact Sync" menu command.
2. Uncheck the box for automatically syncing with Google.
3. Click the "Options -> Program" menu command.
4. Click the folder button/icon on the right side of the "Data folder" field. The data folder will open in File Explorer.
5. Exit VueMinder by clicking the "File -> Exit" menu command.
6. In the data folder, delete the file named "Google.Apis.Auth.OAuth2.Responses.TokenResponse-contacts".
7. Start VueMinder.
8. Click the "Share -> Google Contact Sync" menu command.
9. Check the box for automatically syncing. A webpage should appear asking for permission. If you use multiple Google accounts, make sure to pick the one that has the contacts you want to sync, and click the button to allow access.
10. The contacts should automatically sync and the "Google Contact Sync" window should update to show the date/time of the most recent sync.

Please let me know if that doesn't fix the problem.

I am on Ultimate 2021.01

I shall try your procedure in a quiet moment. As I mentioned I only have issues with Contacts.

the Calendar sync fine on both VueMinder and my Android
Contact do not sync on both VueMinder and my Android

I cannot understand why the credentials would fail only for Contacts but hey this is Google.

What do you know, it reconnected but only once

I think Google does not like large Notes field or with very long lines.

An other surprise was that it synched Google to VM direction even with Google weeks behind. I had to restore from backup, trim the Notes into a file and tidy up to get back to a working sync.

Now I wish I could find a way to get my phone to contact sync again
