Re: Categories.xml
Hi Simona, there's no mechanism to "import" the Categories.xml file into VueMinder. If you are attempting to import the file using the Import command on the File menu, that would probably explain the error message.
Please follow these steps:
1. On the "Options" menu, click "Program".
2. Click the folder button in the right side of the "Data folder" field. This will open VueMinder's data folder in Windows Explorer.
3. Right-click the VueMinder icon in the task tray and select "Exit".
4. In the data folder, delete the existing file named "Categories.xml" and replace it with your correct Categories.xml file. This is the one named "full.Categories.xml" that you attached above. Rename the file to "Categories.xml".
5. Restart VueMinder. You should see all your categories are present. If events aren't being colored based on category, click the "View -> Color Events Using -> Category Colors" menu command.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Categories.xml
I don't understand your question...You followed the procedure described above but you're not seeing your categories? That's odd because it worked perfectly when I did it. Can you please clarify?I follow this procedure. I put catageroies.xml in vueminder data file. (when vueminder is off)
Also, are you using the latest version (10.1.9)? Click the "Check for Updates" command on the Help menu. Maybe that will fix whatever problem you're seeing.

Re: Categories.xml
Did you update to 10.1.9? What exactly does the error say? When do you see the error message? What happens after the error occurs? What does the category list look like after the error? Please provide more detail so I can help you.

Re: Categories.xml
Yes, I updated. The old messages old version do not say anything precise but only error while importing categories. The message did not change in the last 10 new build releases. This is not new thing. Only I expected some new release to see if something was changed. The curios thing is that also with blank files supplied it give error. I think error is related to categories but not to categories.xml itself.
