Upcoming events not clearing once past

On the Desktop Calendar (Full), the list of upcoming events shows past events as [-1 day] as the event moves into the past. After a restart, the upcoming events list correctly doesn't show past events.

My expectation is that as an event occurs and moves into the past, it is removed from the upcoming event list (since it is no longer upcoming) straight away without requiring a restart first.

Hi Simon, welcome to the forums and thank you for the feedback. Past events shouldn't appear in the upcoming events list. I haven't seen this in my testing so I'm not sure what's causing it to happen on your case. I'll investigate further and will work on fixing this problem in the next release.

This is noticeable when the clock rolls over midnight and there was an event during the day (which hasn't been 'completed'). The days to go shows -1 (instead of Today or Tomorrow). If VueMinder is restarted then the past even doesn't show. I can probably do a screeny if that would help.

Hi Simon, thanks for the information. There is code that is supposed to refresh the upcoming event list to remove past events when midnight rolls around, but it sounds like that code isn't working like it should. I'll fix this in the next version.

Perhaps, whilst we're on this, I could request a periodic refresh. Say, once an hour or something. Sometimes I have an appointment in the morning and it still shows as upcoming in the evening. If there are a lot of events that day then the later ones can be below the fold and not seen, whereas the ones visible are no longer relevant.
