change background of date

As you see by the attached, my date format show black type on grey background. I'd like to change this to black type on white background both on my screen and printout. I can't figure out how to do this.

Hi sigrossman, welcome to the forums. The appearance theme you're using has a gray background for the dates. You can pick a different appearance theme using the Appearance command on the Options menu. There are a number of other themes that use white for the background color of dates, such as the theme named "VueMinderWhiteDates".
