Stopping an event from marking its time as busy

Dear all

Happy new year!

I'd like to find out - but am having trouble finding it - how to mark an event such that it does not mark the time it takes (be it some limited time or a whole day) as busy, i.e. such that other events are not classified as conflicting with it.

Unfortunately, there isn't currently any mechanism to mark an event as free or busy. I have this on my list of planned improvements.
