Quick hide sidebar/calendars

I have only the calendar items showing beside my monthly calendar. Since I use on a notebook I'd like to hide the calendar items sidebar until I need it. I know I use the View menu but am wondering if I can have an icon on the toolbar or keyboard shortcut that will alternately hide/un-hide the sidebar.

Hi larryw, you can collapse the side panels into small tabs which appear along the edge of the window. When you hover the mouse over a tab, its full panel will appear. When you move the mouse away from the panel, it will collapse back into a tab.

To use this feature, click the "Window -> Show Dockable Pane Titles" menu command. You'll see a title bar appear above each panel. On the right side of the title bar is a "Auto Hide" button that looks like a pin. Click that button to make the panel automatically hide to a tab. You'll need to move the mouse away from the panel before it will auto-hide. Repeat for the other panels until they have all been auto-hidden.
