recurring event sync issues

recurring event sync issues

I have a recurring event occurring every second day that I increased to three and then four day interval and edited the comment, so far so good.

Recently my wife shared her google calendar (I can't get her to use VM) and I have added it to my VM.
My phone also sync with Google

All the above recurring event got duplicated and triplicated and I have to fight to get rid of them,

delete dup from VM it does not on Google
delete dup on google does not on VM
delete dup on all three devices and it reappears several hours later

In desperation I deleted the entire series on Google and dup only on VM and I all got vaped :?

Not big deal I recreated the event but I lost the historical data.

Other recurring events not-edited are not duplicated.
In conclusion why editing a recurring event confuse the sync only after adding a calendar?

I am a little confused myself, I hope this makes sense.

Hi apelec, I've attempted to duplicate the problem, but syncing worked correctly (no duplicates). I'll investigate further and I'll let you know if I find what caused the problem.

Perhaps the Google sync limit, as reported in an other post, has played a part in this.

That's possible. When VueMinder gets close to the quota limit, some requests will work and others won't (it's weird and random). This can result in strange syncing issues.

I got another response from Google today saying they're still evaluating my quota increase request. I still have no idea if or when they'll approve my request. It would be nice if other people would update to the new version of VueMinder so this would be less of an issue.

The quota increase has been approved. Hopefully this takes care of the syncing issues.
