Event/Task resize

Post by itechlang » Mon Jan 10, 2011 9:05 am

Hi,

Sometimes it is a total mess when I want to resize events or tasks with the mouse in the main calendar in week view (I have not tried the other views).

For example, If i try to resize a task then it is another task or event that moves or get resized and there is no way I can get resized the one I want.

I do not know when it happens or what the root cause is yet.
I will add more info if I find a pattern to reproduce the issue.

Thanks,
Stéphane

Hi Stéphane, if you have overlapping events, you may see the events switch position when resizing. However, if you look closely, you should see the event you were resizing is still the one that was resized. It can get a little confusing due to the events swapping position, but the position swap is due to how the events are arranged within the timeslots. Events that occur first will always be left-most.

If this doesn't match what you're seeing, and the incorrect event is indeed being resized, please let me know.

Hi Dan,

Yes I can understand the behavior for overlapping events but it is not my case.
I am talking about events with completely different hours.

Thanks,
Stéphane

Hmmm. I'm not seeing this happen. Could you send an example test case to support@vueminder.com, the next time you replicate the behavior?
